The Furry Scurry is a two-mile dog walk at Denver's Washington Park to benefit the animals at the Dumb Friends League.

DENVER — Grab a leash and put on your walking shoes, the Furry Scurry is back.

The 31st annual Furry Scurry will be held Saturday, May 4.

The Furry Scurry is the largest fundraiser for Dumb Friends League, which cares for more than 44,000 animals each year.

Participants can walk, run or scurry while helping homeless pets and horses at the Dumb Friends League. This year, people can gather in person on May 4 or walk from afar between now and May 24.

Dumb Friends League said participants can register as an individual or create a team with family, friends or coworkers near and far. Furry Scurry registration can be completed at at ddfl.org.

All registered participants will receive the official Furry Scurry shirt and race bib. People who fundraise beyond their entry fees can have an even bigger impact on the lives of homeless pets and earn special swag.
