HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — A drone show was visible throughout the Highlands Ranch area Monday evening.
Valor Christian High School hosted the 12-minute drone show in collaboration with drone company Bright Flight Colorado and Make-A-Wish Colorado.
Part of "Wish Week" at Valor Christian High School, the drone show was dedicated to a 7-year-old named Genevieve who is battling leukemia.
The Valor Arts and Media Department and Drones class collaborated to design a show that celebrated Genevieve's wish and "exemplifies the innovative spirit of the Valor students and their commitment to community service."
"We're beyond excited to celebrate Genevieve with a mesmerizing Disney-inspired drone show!" said an event spokesperson. "Her incredible strength and bravery during a trying time in her life inspires us all. It's truly an honor to merge cutting-edge technology with the indomitable human spirit in such a spectacular way."
Held before prom with a focus on giving back, other Valor Christian "Wish Week" events include a wish parade, games, and fundraising events.
