In the first three quarters of this year, Colorado companies have seen more than $1.29 billion in venture capital funding, according to a quarterly report from PitchBook Data.
That’s the second largest amount for a single year in the last five years. In 2015, Colorado companies saw more than $1.36 billion in venture capital funding.
Taking a closer look, the Denver-Aurora metro area saw $247.97 million in venture capital funding raised across 39 companies in the third quarter of 2018 compared to $147.13 million in venture capital funding raised across 41 companies in the third quarter of 2017.
