KUSA — Honeywell is recalling 82,500 hard hats because they can fail to protect users from impact.
The recall involves Honeywell’s type 1 Fibre-Metal E2 and North Peak A79 hard hats sold at retailers and Amazon.com nationwide.
The hard hats were sold between April 2016 and January 2018 in a variety of colors.
While no injuries have been reported, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says to stop using the recalled hard hats and contact Honeywell for refund or product credit.
The mold identification number and the manufacture date can be found on the underside of the hat’s brim.
