Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. is reportedly looking for a new board of directors member.

Bloomberg reported that Denver-based Chipotle may add another director for its board, which has been criticized for being " all-white and overwhelmingly male."

In April, shareholder group CtW Investment Group wrote to Chipotle (NYSE: CMG) shareholders, complaining about the company's board in the wake of last year's food illness scandals.

"Chipotle’s corporate governance shortfalls are a manifestation of the board’s insular composition. In addition to having one of the least diverse, least independent boards among the S&P 500, Chipotle’s average director tenure is among the very highest at a median of 17 years, with six directors having served for over a decade ... In addition to geographic homogeneity, Chipotle exhibits a shocking dearth of racial and gender diversity," CtW wrote in April.
