Police arrest man wanted for attempted murder in Denver

Noah Josiah Martinez was wanted in connection to an incident that happened on March 10 in the 1700 block of West Mississippi Avenue.

DENVER β€” Just a day after the Denver Police Department put out photos of an attempted murder suspect they announced he was taken into custody.

On Thursday, police said Noah Josiah Martinez, 21, was wanted in connection to an incident that happened at about 1:20 a.m. on March 10 in the 1700 block of West Mississippi Avenue. According to a social media post from Denver Metro Crime Stoppers, he turned himself into police.

Martinez is described as 5-foot 9-inches, 150 pounds and has an unidentified tattoo on his left arm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
