FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A man has been arrested and is accused of sexually assaulting a girl he met at a playground, a release from Fort Collins police said.

Christopher Webb, 39, approached the victim and her mother on Saturday, April 7 at the playground on West Horsetooth Road and engaged in a conversation, the release said.

The mother invited Webb to attend church and have lunch with them, police said. The girl later told her mother that Webb touched her intimate parts during their time together.

Webb was arrested Tuesday on a charge of sexual assault on a child and was booked into the Larimer County Jail.

Detectives said they are concerned that Webb may have victimized other people. Anyone with information about this or other incidents is encouraged to contact Detective Siobhan Seymour at 970-416-2195 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or stopcriminals.org.
