Man with BB guns taken into custody at Aurora department store

The man did not threaten anyone with the guns, and no one was injured, police said.

AURORA, Colo. — A man was taken into custody after dumping a backpack containing BB guns onto the floor of a store in Aurora Sunday afternoon, the Aurora Police Department said. 

Police said it happened around 2:45 p.m. at the Ross Dress For Less at Southlands Mall on Orchard Road in southeast Aurora. Police said according to witnesses and video surveillance, the man dumped out his backpack and three BB guns fell to the floor. 

The man did not threaten anyone with the guns, and no one was injured, police said. 

Police said the man was taken into custody, and charges against him are pending.
