Missing boys found safe in Jefferson County, suspect arrested

The sheriff's office said the two young boys were with a woman who did not have permission to take them.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said deputies found two young boys who were with a woman who did not have permission to have them Friday evening. 

Just after 6 p.m., the sheriff's office said the children were found safe near Kipling and Progress streets in southern Jefferson County. The person suspected of taking the boys was arrested, according to the sheriff's office. 

The boys will get checked to ensure they're okay.
