1 man dead, 2 others injured following Wednesday morning shooting

Denver Police investigated an early morning shooting that left one man dead and two others injured.

DENVER — Denver Police (DPD) is investigating a shooting that left one man dead and sent two others to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

The shooting took place at an apartment complex in the 7500 block of East Technology Way in Denver, according to a tweet from DPD.

According to police, all three victims of the shooting were men.

The coronor identified the man found dead on the scene as 26-year-old Marquis Johnson.

DPD said the individuals involved may have also been involved with gunshots being fired in the parking lot of the apartment complex prior to fleeing the area.

One of the victims was taken by private vehicle to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition, and police found the other at a 7-Eleven at South Havana Street and East Iliff Avenue in Aurora, DPD said.

That victim had been shot in the leg, and has since been released from the hospital, DPD said.

There have been no arrests made in connection with the shooting and police are still working on gathering suspect information, DPD said.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or by visiting metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
