Lockouts lifted at 2 Denver schools after suspicious packages cleared

McGlone Academy and Farrell B Howell School in Denver were on lockout Wednesday morning as officers investigate suspicious packages near the schools.

Two schools were on lockout Wednesday morning as officers with the Denver Police Department investigated reports of suspicious packages nearby. 

Police said a suspicious package was left in the 4500 block of North Crown Boulevard, resulting in McGlone Academy being placed on lockout. 

A suspicious package was also left in the 14200 block of East Albrook Drive, which placed Farrell B Howell School on lockout as well. 

Both packages have since been cleared by investigators, according to DPD. School. McGlone Academy and Farrell B Howell School are expected to return to normal operations by 9:15 a.m.
