Ohio University to remove Roger Ailes' name from newsroom

Ohio University has announced plans to remove former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes' name from its newsroom.

Ohio University has announced plans to remove former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes' name from its newsroom.

OU President Roderick McDavis made the announcement during a faculty meeting Monday, The Athens Post reports.

Ailes, an OU alumnus, made a $500,000 donation to the university in 2007. The result was the dedication of the Roger E. Ailes Newsroom.

According to The Post, the letters bearing Ailes' name on the newsroom have already been removed, but an exact date for the full name removal has not been released.

Ailes, a Warren, Ohio native, resigned from Fox News in July amid sexual harassment allegations by women within the network, including Megyn Kelly.
