Come 2019, there will be one less place to dance under the electric skies with beautiful people in Denver.

That’s because Beta Nightclub has announced that after almost 11 years of cementing its reputation as one of the most lauded dance establishments in the country, it will close its doors and the music will stop after the night of Jan. 5, 2019.

In a Facebook post, Beta did not say what prompted the closure of the club, which is at 1909 Blake St.

To our fellow dance community, Almost 11 years ago, we, the founders of Beta, began to pull together our idea of what the future of dance clubbing should be, not only here in Denver, but the world....

“Our mission statement was always simple. Club culture evolving,” the Facebook post reads. “As we made the decision to draw Beta Nightclub to a close, we reflect back on this mantra and what it has become.

“We want to honor what we set out to do, honor our DJs for their devotion to their craft, honor our staff and promoters for their dedication, and most importantly, honor our fans who have shared their valuable time with us.”

The nightclub said it cannot predict what the future holds, or what’s next for the space.

During Beta’s tenure, it drew EDM stars ranging from Deadmau5 to DJ Pauly D of Jersey Shore fame, and made the Rolling Stone’s list of the best nightclubs in the country.
