Fire crews extinguish brush pile fire at Sloan Lake

An early morning brushfire started in the southwest corner of Sloan Lake Park, Monday morning.

DENVER — Fire crews responded to a brush pile fire early Monday morning near Sloan Lake in Denver.

Denver Fire Department (DFD) said the brush pile fire was extinguished around 5:30 a.m. on the southwest side of Sloan Lake.

DFD said there was lots of smoke in the air, but no injuries were reported.

Sky9 flew over the fire Monday morning as crews used equipment to extinguish the fire.
