Former Colo. IT firm's CEO sentenced to 6 months in jail

Hemal Ramesh Jhaveri, the founder, owner and former CEO of IT consulting firm SofTec Solutions Inc., was sentenced last week to six months in jail for defrauding the government.

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Hemal Ramesh Jhaveri, the founder, owner and former CEO of IT consulting firm SofTec Solutions Inc., was sentenced last week to six months in jail for defrauding the government.

Jhaveri will also pay a fine of $250,000 and will serve two years of supervised release following his release from jail, according to a government statement. He has already paid $1.2 million in restitution and he pleaded guilty to the charges in March.
