New number for non-emergency calls in Denver

DENVER - The Denver Police Department has made it easier to contact the six Neighborhood District Police Stations, Gang Bureau and the Language Line.

The new number is 720-913-COPS (720-913-2677). Once the number is dialed, instructions are given both in English and Spanish to direct callers to Neighborhood Police Stations. This new number is now in operation. When the new phone books are distributed in November, it will be the only number listed to get in touch with DPD.DPD says the number was created to better serve the citizens of Denver and enableofficers to provide high quality public safety services to the community. The public should still call 911 for emergencies and 720-913-2000 for police dispatch non-emergency calls.
