Next with Kyle Clark, a new nightly news program, comes to 9NEWS starting August 5, on the opening night of the Olympics.
Next will combine news and views for unique, unapologetically honest perspectives on what’s happening in Colorado. The show will air weeknights at 6 p.m. on 9NEWS.
Kyle Clark and his guest experts will offer analysis and commentary that goes beyond sound bites to explain how events are shaping Colorado.
Next is designed for viewers who have seen the headlines and are seeking to join smart, thoughtful discussions about how and why the news is happening.
The real-time social media discussions that have been a behind-the-scenes staple of Clark’s newscasts will be incorporated into the live program – giving viewers an unprecedented opportunity to steer the discussion.
"Next is a real conversation. People want us to be totally honest about what's happening, even if it stings a little," Clark said. "It is about transparency. If someone has a question - I'll answer it. I'll try to do it on-air - in front of everyone."
The 9NEWS team of journalists and experts will be frequent contributors to Next.
Clark’s essays about life in Colorado, which have aired occasionally on 9NEWS, will be a regular feature on Next.
