DENVER — The Denver Medical Examiner's Office on Thursday identified a man who died after being hit by a vehicle in Denver last weekend.
Leslie Crockett, 61, died from blunt force injuries, and the manner of death is an accident, the medical examiner's office said.
About noon Saturday, the Denver Police Department reported officers were investigating a crash in the area of Havana Street and Mississippi Avenue involving a motorist and a pedestrian. The location where the crash occurred is right at the city line of Denver and Aurora.
Police said the driver remained on scene and one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Nearly four hours later, Denver Police gave an update saying the pedestrian involved in the crash died.
Police said southbound Havana Street was closed after the crash, but the road reopened at approximately 2 p.m., according to the spokesperson.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated, police said.
