A local hero has died. Firefighter-Paramedic Mike Rosado passed away Thursday night from injuries he suffered in a fall, the Westminster Fire Department said on Facebook.
The 41-year-old was a beloved father, husband, son and coworker, serving the Westminster community for 14 years and eight months.
The post goes on to say Rosado had a servant's heart and a deep love for Westminster.
A GoFundMe started in his name said he leaves behind a wife, two daughters and a grandchild.
"Mike is a shining example of what a true hero is," the page said.
The page was put up by six "fire wives" who want to help the family with all the expenses they can. They're hoping to raise $20,000.
