LONGMONT, Colo. — The rankings were irrelevant.
It didn't matter what number Greeley Central came wearing into Friday night's clash with Longmont because the Trojans are defending Class 4A champions for a reason.
In a top-10 matchup, the No. 2 Trojans crushed the visiting and No. 9 Wildcats 78-38 in a game that was all but over by just the second quarter.
Longmont, which remains undefeated on the season at 16-0 (7-0 in Northern League play), was led by a game-high 18 points from Beck Page.
Calvin Seamons and Brady Renck, who connected on an alley-oop slam dunk off the backboard in the third quarter, finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively -- while Ryan Schneider also reached double-figures with 10.
Greeley Central (11-5, 4-3 NL) was led by a team-high 15 points by Jackson Hayslip.
