DENVER — The Denver Nuggets are ready to defend their NBA championship.
The Nuggets will start their title defense against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
A rematch of the 2023 Western Conference Finals, the series tips off with Game 1 on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Ball Arena in Denver. The best-of-seven playoff series will be televised between ABC and TNT.
Denver defeated the Lakers in all three meetings this regular season. The Nuggets swept LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals last season.

The Nuggets will host a pep rally as the team prepares for the start of the playoffs. The rally will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at McGregor Square, next to Coors Field.
The rally will include live performances from Paws The Music, the Skyline Drumline, and the Denver Nuggets Dancers. In-arena host Kerry Anne will keep the show rolling and Altitude talent will provide a playoff preview.
Wednesday's rally is free and fans can RSVP to receive more information.
