DENVER — The Denver Nuggets and point guard Jamal Murray have agreed on a five-year, $170 million contract extension, according to The Athletic.

The extension means Murray will play out his rookie deal in 2019-20 and will begin a new contract in 2020-21 through 2024-25.

Murray, 22, was the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2017.
