DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche and Ivan Ivan have agreed to a two-year deal, keeping the forward with Colorado through the 2025-26 season.
The Czechia-born player has played 51 games with the Colorado Avalanche American Hockey League affiliate, Colorado Eagles. Ivan recorded 27 points, 12 goals and 15 assists in the 2023-24 season.
Ivan leads all Eagles' rookies in goals, assists, points and multi-point games. Ivan's career-high 3-point game came Jan. 20 against the San Jose Barracuda, where he scored a goal and recorded two assists.
Before joining the Avalanche organization, Ivan registered 177 points in 191 games with the Cape Brenton Eagles in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2019-2023.
The 6-foot 190-pound 21-year-old appeared in two preseason games with the Avalanche after skating in three games for Colorado at the 2023 Rookie Faceoff tournament in Las Vegas.
