The Nuggets agreed to sign Memphis Grizzlies point guard Earl Watson to a five-year contract. Terms haven't been disclosed, but The Denver Post reports the deal is believed to be worth about 29-point-three (m) million dollars.
Cleveland, Utah, Minnesota and other teams reportedly expressed interest in Watson, but his agent says the Nuggets made early contact -- and distinguished themselves with a "consistent and professional" approach.
Denver center Marcus Camby calls Watson a fiery backup point guard, and says he's glad Watson's aboard.
The team also made one-year deals to retain shooting guards Greg Buckner and DerMarr Johnson.
