KEYSTONE, Colo. — Keystone Resort announced Monday that it will open for the 2023/24 season on Nov. 1, after a weekend storm dumped about 14 inches of new snow on the Colorado ski area.
The resort said on Twitter that it will open more than 2 miles of terrain on the Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails. The River Run Gondola will start up at 9 a.m. Wednesday with access to the Montezuma Express Lift.
"A huge thank you to our incredible snowmakers, operations teams and Mother Nature for more than a foot of new snow and the return to cold temps that have all helped to get us ready to kick things off this week," the resort said on Twitter.
Keystone will also have donuts, hot chocolate and a DJ on hand for opening day.
New this season at Keystone is a lift that will service the Bergman Bowl—Beginner to Advanced Terrain that in the past could only be reached by hiking or by snow cat.
Lift tickets and passes are available at the Keystone Resort website.
Keystone is the second Colorado resort to announce its opening for the 2023/24 season, after Arapahoe Basin Ski Area opened on Sunday morning.
