More than 150 flights delayed, canceled Tuesday at Denver's airport

Flights at Denver International Airport have been impacted by an Arctic cold front moving through Colorado and across the U.S.

DENVER — Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed at Colorado's biggest airport on Monday as extreme winter weather moves across the state and country.

As of 6:19 a.m. Tuesday, there were 114 flights canceled and 79 flights delayed at Denver International Airport, according to FlightAware

Eleven airlines at DIA were impacted by Monday's delays, including United, Southwest, SkyWest, Delta, Frontier and American.

An Arctic cold front arrived in Colorado on Friday, bringing bitterly cold temperatures and snow to the state. Wind Chill Warnings have been posted through Tuesday morning by the National Weather Service for counties across Colorado, including the Palmer Divide, Denver area, and eastern plains.

Periods of dangerous wind chill readings are expected, mainly during the overnight periods Friday night through Tuesday morning. The wind and low temps will lead to wind chills of 20 below to 35 below zero, with the most severe conditions east of Interstate 25.
