TODAY AT A GLANCE: Clouds increase today with a better chance for late day showers and storms. A cold front drops through the state tomorrow bringing cooler temperatures and a greater chance for showers and storms.
Seasonal weather returns Thursday with drier conditions as we head for the warmest temperatures so far this year on Saturday.
Today could be the warmest day of their month, so far, with a high of 77, but showers and storms will develop as the day goes on.
On Wednesday, a cold front drops through the area bringing a northerly flow over the state cooling our high temperatures and bringing a better chance for showers and storms. Snow levels for the mountains will drop down to around 9500 feet but with only light accumulations.
As this system moves east, drier and warmer air moves in behind it. A high pressure ridge then builds into the area warming our highs into the lower 80s on Friday and Saturday. The predicted high of 83 on Saturday will be the warmest day of the year so far. Scattered late storms are back in the forecast Sunday and Monday with slightly cooler - but still mild - high temperatures.
TODAY: Increasing clouds and milder with a chance for late storms, high 77; mostly cloudy with a chance for an isolated storm tonight, low 49.
WEDNESDAY: Showers, thunderstorms and cooler, high 64; mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered storms overnight, low 45.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonal, high 71; mostly clear overnight, low 48.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and warmer, high around 80; mostly clear overnight, low 54.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and warm, high 83; partly cloudy overnight, low 52.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy and not quite as warm with a slight chance for a late storm, high 74; partly cloudy overnight, low 49.
MONDAY: Partly sunny with a slight chance for an isolated storm, high 75; partly cloudy overnight, low 52.
