DENVER — Three people were arrested in connection with the death of a teen who died after he was dropped off at an urgent care suffering from at least one gunshot wound, the Denver Police Department (DPD) announced Wednesday.
Jeremiah Baca, 17, was shot in the 2600 block of West Colorado Avenue around 5 p.m. on Jan. 22. Someone then brought the teen to an urgent care facility in the 1300 block of South Federal Boulevard just before 5:30 p.m. and left him there, police said earlier. That urgent care is near South Federal Boulevard and West Louisiana Avenue.
On March 10, DPD arrested 21-year-old Adalberto Chavez and 23-year-old Ricardo Padilla-Gonzalez. A juvenile male was also arrested.
All three are being held for investigation of first-degree murder. Evidence in the case indicates Baca was shot during an attempted robbery by the suspects, according to DPD.
In an earlier bulletin from Denver Metro Crime Stoppers, DPD announced that they were looking for a silver Honda Civic with a model year between 2006 and 2008 in connection with their investigation.
DPD said it has damage to the rear driver's side.
