BOULDER — Boulder police have called off the search for a missing elderly man with Parkinson’s Disease after a body was found in the area near where he went missing.
Richard Alber, 83, walked away from his home on Kalmia Avenue between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday according to police.
Thursday night officers conducted a neighborhood search with a drone and two search and rescue dogs. Police also sent out reverse notifications to residents in the area.
Friday morning they began searching again and found a body in a window well at the home where Alber was reported missing from by his family. The body matches the description of Alber but the coroner will make a positive identification.
