A sewage leak at Dodger Stadium led to a half-hour delay and forced the cancellation of the final innings of Tuesday night's exhibition game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Angels.

The game was called in the fifth inning as the Dodgers were credited with a 4-3 victory.

“Crappy way to end the spring,” Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling joked to the Los Angeles Times. “Get it?”

An apparent pipe break flooded the first rows of seats and the field down the third-base line, pooling near the Dodgers' dugout. Workers tried to mop up the spill during the stoppage in play.

Dodgers president Stan Kasten told reporters that workers from the city were attempting to find the sources of the problem and added the issue would not impact Thursday’s season-opening game against the San Francisco Giants.
