1 killed in Denver crash

Police said the person was struck near East 48th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard Thursday evening.

DENVER — A person has died after being hit by a vehicle in Denver Thursday evening. 

The Denver Police Department posted on the social media platform X at 5:30 p.m. Thursday that they were investigating a crash involving a pedestrian and a motorist in the area of East 48th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. 

DPD said at the time that the injuries were serious. They later posted an update saying the pedestrian had been pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. No information has been released about the pedestrian except that the person was an adult.

The driver stayed at the scene, according to DPD. Police have not released any information about the circumstances of the crash.
