Greeley Stampede scheduled to go past July 4th in 2024

The Greeley Stampede has made changes to its bag policy, schedule, and concert announcement timeline for its big 2024 event.

GREELEY, Colo. — Prepare yourself for summer nights, rodeos, concerts and funnel cakes — the 102nd annual Greeley Stampede is right around the corner.

The Greeley Stampede has announced a new schedule for its 2024 festival and is preparing its upcoming slate of concerts.

The 102nd annual Greeley Stampede will open Wednesday, June 26, and run through Sunday, July 7. This extends the Greeley Stampede past its traditional Independence Day closing date.

"With the 4th falling on a Thursday this year, we will continue the event through the weekend," said Greeley Stampede CEO Justin Watada.

The Greeley Stampede said its annual Independence Day parade, fireworks, and American bull fighting will be held on Thursday, July 4, but its demolition derby has been moved to Sunday, July 7.

"For the safety of our guests and rodeo contestants, we make sure the demo derby is the last event in the arena," Greeley Stampede Grounds Chairman Jerod Lichtenberg said. "This gives us plenty of time to clean-up the metal scraps and debris from the derby for the safety of our guests and rodeo athletes."

2024 concert schedule

Greeley Stampede officials said the 2024 SuperStars+ Concert Series lineup and ticket information will be released early 2024.

A SuperStars+ Concert Series package will be available, offering one ticket to all six concerts, starting at $150 for a limited time.

"We are thrilled to bring premium entertainment at an affordable price to our northern Colorado community," said Cory Sample, Greeley Stampede Music Production Chairman. "There isn’t a better deal around. For the cost of one concert south of us, we’re offering six."

Bag policy

The Greeley Stampede announced it has updated its clear bag policy to be parkwide in 2024. Previously, the clear bag policy only applied to arena events.

Guests are encouraged to limit the items coming into the park by only bringing what you need for the day. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items and diaper bags.

"We know that this will be a bit of a change from previous years, but moving to park wide clear bag makes sense for the arena events and admissions to speed up lines and better our guest experience," Greeley Stampede Admissions Chairman Junior Barrios said.

"One major goal of the Stampede is to continue to provide a safe environment for all guests to enjoy. The park wide clear bag policy will help us in achieving that goal," said Greeley Stampede Security Chairman Jon Patton.

Volunteers

The Greeley Stampede is looking for groups to help assist with its 2024 event. Compensation is available for volunteer time to assist community non-profits and organizations with their mission.
