GREELEY, Colo. — The Greeley Stampede will induct three new members into its Hall of Fame.
Ray Esola, Doug Kershaw, and Wranglers Inc. will join the Hall of Fame, which the Greeley Stampede began in 2017.
The Greeley Stampede Hall of Fame honors individuals, groups, families and volunteers who have made significant and long-lasting contributions to the Greeley Stampede.
“The legacy of the Greeley Stampede is built by dedicated people that are passionate about our community,” said Greeley Stampede CEO Justin Watada. “It’s important to our organization that we show our gratitude to those that really made an impact on our journey to where we are today.”
The Greeley Stampede will host an induction ceremony dinner Friday, March 1, at Zoe’s Café at 6 p.m. Tickets are available GreeleyStampede.org for $45 for individual tickets and $300 for a table of eight.
Additional recognition will take place during the 102nd Greeley Stampede in June including recognition during the PRCA ProRodeo on Sunday, June 30.
Greeley Stampede 2024 Hall of Fame inductees
Ray Esola
Esola has had a 20+ year involvement including volunteering for the art show and vending as well as serving on the Greeley Stampede Committee (2006-2012) and supporting the vending program since 2015.
Doug Kershaw
Kershaw, the Ragin’ Cajun, was a staple for music as he performed at the Greeley Stampede for six-consecutive years (1988-1993) and was a keyperson in the Doug Kershaw Celebrity Stampede golf tournament.
Wranglers Inc.
The Wranglers Inc. organization served as the official Greeley Stampede volunteer group, donated thousands of volunteer hours and were the backbone of the community celebration for 45 years (1977-2022).
Greeley Stampede 2024
The 102nd annual Greeley Stampede will open Wednesday, June 26, and run through Sunday, July 7. This extends the Greeley Stampede past its traditional Independence Day closing date.
"With the 4th falling on a Thursday this year, we will continue the event through the weekend," said Greeley Stampede CEO Justin Watada.
The Greeley Stampede said its annual Independence Day parade, fireworks, and American bull fighting will be held on Thursday, July 4, but its demolition derby has been moved to Sunday, July 7.
Concert schedule
Greeley Stampede officials said the 2024 SuperStars+ Concert Series lineup and ticket information will be released Saturday on social media.
A SuperStars+ Concert Series package will be available, offering one ticket to all six concerts, starting at $150 for a limited time.
"We are thrilled to bring premium entertainment at an affordable price to our northern Colorado community," said Cory Sample, Greeley Stampede Music Production Chairman. "There isn’t a better deal around. For the cost of one concert south of us, we’re offering six."
Volunteers
The Greeley Stampede is looking for groups to help assist with its 2024 event. Compensation is available for volunteer time to assist community non-profits and organizations with their mission.
