CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. — It was a celebration of love atop an 11,215-foot mountain with 75 couples in skis and snowboards tying the knot or renewing their wedding vows on Valentine's Day.
Loveland Ski Area celebrated the 32nd Annual Mountaintop Matrimony mass wedding ceremony in Forest Meadow.
The ski area hosted 12 couples getting married and 63 couples who renewed their vows.
In true Colorado fashion, couples dressed in "formal" ski attire – some brides wearing gowns and veils, and grooms who mostly matched in snazzy ski suits – skied and snowboarded down the mountain for an après ski party and prize raffle to celebrate.
One of the happily-married couples was celebrating their one-year anniversary after being married at the ski resort in 2022. Their first "ski-date" was at Loveland too.
"It's all about the love," the groom said. "Been here for a long, long time. My dad was skiing here when they opened. We love it."
A honeymoon getaway to Georgetown's Rose Street Bed & Breakfast and Coopers on the Creek was awarded to the best-dressed couple.
