LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Girl Scout Cookie lovers, rejoice!
The Girl Scout Cookie season is underway in Colorado with the launch of online cookie sales.
Each Girl Scout has a personalized link for their digital cookie website, so customers will have to contact a Girl Scout they know to start ordering cookies.
Girl Scouts of Colorado will open in-person cookie sales Sunday, Feb. 4, across Colorado. An official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app and website will have locations of sales.
Girl Scout Cookies flavors
Adventurefuls, Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Dos-Si-Dos and Lemon-Ups are $5 per package in Colorado. S’mores and gluten-free Toffee-tastic are $6 per package in Colorado.
The 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program will end Sunday, March 10.
Each box of cookies sold helps to fund Girl Scouts service projects, troop travel and summer camp. Girl Scouts of Colorado said 100% of Girl Scout Cookie proceeds stays in Colorado.
“Everyone loves Girl Scout Cookies — but the program is about so much more than cookies,” said Leanna Clark, CEO of Girl Scouts of Colorado. “When you purchase cookies, you are helping girls power their Girl Scout Leadership Experience and you’re supporting female entrepreneurs.”
There are 111 Girl Scout councils across the country, each of which sets the price for troops under them.
In October 2023, Girl Scouts of the USA, the parent organization behind every regional council and local troop, acknowledged that some troops may be raising cookie prices. Media reports indicted that cookie prices could increase to $6 or $7 a box, depending on where you are.
Girl Scouts of Colorado confirmed that they are not increasing the price of cookies in 2024.
Before 2014, a box of cookies cost $4, but by the 2016 season, all troops had adopted the now-common $5 per box price tag.
