Denver area factory to shut down after nearly 100 years

IMI Norgren plans to shut down its manufacturing site at 5400 S. Delaware St. in Littleton, Colorado.

LITTLETON, Colo. — A British company is shutting down a Littleton factory with a long local history, laying off workers this spring and vacating the site as a multifamily project is poised to remake neighboring land.

IMI Norgren LLC this week told the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment that it plans to close its 5400 S. Delaware St. manufacturing site after laying off 60 employees over several weeks starting in April.

The company informed employees on Nov. 1 about the impending closure, it said in a letter it sent to state officials under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or WARN Act.
