DENVER — Dozens of gas stations and convenience stores are getting a new look in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.

Maverik reported it has rebranded 30 Kum & Go stores following its acquisition of the company in 2023.

Maverik said it began rebranding Kum & Go locations in January with four stores in its home state of Utah, before moving into Colorado Springs in February. On March 27, Maverik completed its 26th and final rebrand in Colorado Springs.

Maverik said it is preparing to open its first rebranded stores in the Denver area, with opening celebrations planned for next week in Aurora, Castlerock, and Lakewood.

The company said it has also opened two Idaho stores as Maverik that were originally planned to open as Kum & Go.

“Feedback from our Utah and Colorado customers has been excellent thus far and Maverik will continue to evaluate rebrands in additional markets,” said Chuck Maggelet, CEO and Chief Adventure Guide of Maverik. “Ongoing market research as well as the results from Maverik’s initial rebranded stores will help guide future branding decisions.”

According to Maverik, the exterior look of the rebranded stores differs slightly from Maverik’s new store format, but each rebrand receives the chain's adventure-themed branding, panoramic photos and maps of the state’s outdoor destinations on the walls, as well as adventure videos playing on TVs and soda fountains. Building and fuel canopy signage are also updated.

After the Denver market rebrands, Maverik said it will move into Colorado's Western Slope, with plans to rebrand 86 total stores in Colorado. Wyoming rebrands are planned to begin later this year.
