2 dead in Greeley shooting

The incident is still under investigation. Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.

GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley Police are investigating a shooting that killed two people on Sunday. 

According to a release from the Greeley Police Department (GPD), officers responded to a report of a shooting just before noon in the 1200 block of 18th Avenue.

The release said when officers arrived, they contacted two male victims who had been shot. They were taken to area hospitals and later died, police said Monday. The victims were 17-years-old and a 22-years-old, according to police.  

GPD said during the altercation, a vehicle fleeing the scene crashed into another vehicle that was not involved. The driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

GPD said officers are actively working the investigation, and that no additional information is being released at this time. Officers do not believe there is any danger or threat to the public, according to the release.
