DENVER — Three masked suspects, one of whom was armed with a gas-powered concrete saw, are wanted for an aggravated robbery in Denver, according to a bulletin from Denver Metro Crime Stoppers.
Denver Police (DPD) released photos from the incident, which happened Feb. 15 at about 5:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store located at 1450 S. Santa Fe Dr. That's just north of West Florida Avenue and not far from Overland Golf Course.
The suspects entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, according to DPD. One of the suspects was carrying a gas-powered concrete saw and attempted to use it to cut open an ATM.
The suspects were driving a blue Chevrolet truck with an extended cab. It has silver running boards and an aluminum toolbox in the bed at the time of the incident, according to DPD.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or by visiting metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers are notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
