Driver cited in hit-and-run crash that injured 2 students

Court records show that the suspect has multiple prior DUI convictions and previously had his license revoked.

DENVER — A driver has been identified and cited in connection with a hit-and-run crash earlier this month that injured two Montbello High School students, Denver Police said on Wednesday.

The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. April 9 near Andrews Drive and Crown Boulevard. Both victims were in the crosswalk and had the right of way when they were hit, according to Denver Police. Both were seriously hurt.

A Denver Public Schools spokesperson said the teens are students at Montbello High School.

Two days after the crash, police said they had identified the driver and were questioning him. The suspect has since been identified as 47-year-old Antwon Lee.
