DENVER — Two pedestrians, both students, were seriously injured when they were hit by a driver near Montbello High School Tuesday afternoon.
The Denver Police Department said the driver did not stay on the scene of the crash, which happened around 4:15 p.m. in the area of Andrews Drive and Crown Boulevard. Police said on Thursday that the driver and vehicle have now been located, and officers are interviewing the driver.
A Denver Public Schools spokesperson said the teens were both students at Montbello. Police said they were in the crosswalk and had the right of way when they were hit.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
