COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A man was sentenced last week to 75 years in prison – 25 for each of his three victims – after he pleaded guilty to numerous charges including assault, the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office said on Tuesday.
In January, Devin Reese, 36, pleaded guilty to six charges related to three assaults that occurred in early 2022 in Adams County.
“This defendant preyed on innocent victims and committed truly unspeakable crimes,” said District Attorney Brian Mason. “This 75-year prison sentence is more than just for these horrific acts. The bravery of these victims cannot be overstated. I am also thankful for the immense law enforcement efforts that went into this investigation and the diligent work of my Special Victims Unit to ensure justice was served in these crimes.”
According to the District Attorney's Office, Reese responded to a woman's ad for sexual services on April 24, 2022. When he arrived at her Commerce City apartment, he pointed a gun at her, took her cellphone and sexually assaulted her.
After stealing the woman's phone, Reese used it to send text messages threatening to kill her and her family if she contacted authorities. He also used it to share nude photos of the victim with others, the DA's Office said.
Less than a month later, on May 10, Reese contacted a woman on her OnlyFans page to arrange a meeting. The DA's Office said he went to her home but asked her to get into his vehicle because her roommate was home. She got in, and Reese drove her to Thornton against her wishes and sexually assaulted her at a park. Afterward, he told her to exit the vehicle and drove off with her cellphone.
Ten days later on May 20, Reese approached a woman and started a conversation in the parking lot of a convenience store in unincorporated Adams County. During the conversation, he lifted his shirt and showed the woman a gun in his waistband.
He forced the woman into his vehicle and drove her to a car wash where he assaulted her. Like the prior incident, he let her out and drove off with her phone.

As a result of Reese's guilty plea, the stipulated sentence was between 60 and 80 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections. On April 12, an Adams County District judge sentenced him to 75 years in prison.
According to the DA's Office, Reese has a pending sexual assault case in Indiana.
