Case of missing boy now being investigated as 'custodial issue'

AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department said it is now investigating the case of a boy who went missing Saturday afternoon as a "custodial issue."

Police said the boy, who is no longer being identified because he is a juvenile, had last been seen at an Aurora park at around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. 

They said he had voluntarily left the park on a bicycle. 

On Sunday evening, Aurora Police said officers had been in contact with the boy's family and that it was being investigated as a "custodial issue."

No further details were released.
