88-year-old Colorado woman found safe

The woman had been missing since Monday and was found several hours away in Utah.

MESA COUNTY, Colo. — The Mesa County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that an 88-year-old woman who had been since Monday was located in Utah and is safe.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) issued a Senior Alert for the woman on Monday and said she was last seen in the 3200 block of I-70B in Mesa County around 5:30 p.m. 

According to CBI's alert, the woman has cognitive deficiency which may cause confusion and she has other medical issues for which she takes medication.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's office said in an update that the woman was located in Richfield, Utah. That is a roughly four-hour drive along Interstate 70 from Mesa County.
