STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. — A child was taken to the hospital Saturday after falling from a chairlift in Steamboat, according to a spokesperson for the Steamboat Ski Resort.
The spokesperson said a "youth" fell from the ski resort's Sunshine Express lift at around noon Saturday when the safety bar was lifted as they prepared to get off. The child fell approximately 20 feet, according to the spokesperson.
Steamboat Ski Patrol crews responded immediately, the spokesperson said, and the child was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
No further information was shared about the child or the state of their injuries.
