Commentary: Russell Wilson wants 2 more Super Bowls with Broncos

Despite what a rough end to last season, Russell Wilson says he wants to spend the rest of his career with the Broncos.

DENVER — Russell Wilson said Sunday on the 'I Am Athlete" podcast that he wants to win two more Super Bowls with the Broncos or any other team that he ends up on.

Super Bowls? Two of them?

Alright, I think Russ was done dirty by Denver head coach Sean Payton this season when he was benched, so I side with him on that. But I don't think Russ should be talking about Super Bowls, plural, right now.

He should be talking about returning to playing at a top-10 level and getting back to the NFL playoffs.

When you haven't played in a postseason game since 2020, you probably shouldn't mention the phrase Super Bowl. How realistic even is this thought? Russ' next team is likely not going to be in a position to get to the big game.

Focus on getting over .500, get back to the playoffs, then make something happen.

But two Super Bowls? To me that seems a bit much.
