PARKER, Colo. — Singular moments can define us. Reichen Posey has never let them.
"No matter what I'm going through, God will always be there for me and I can trust in that throughout my life," he said.
Posey is an 18-year-old senior at Lutheran High School is Parker. He's also one of the best football players in Colorado, recently being named to the All-State team.
He's the youngest of four kids and a spiritual man — unfortunately, he's also part of America's most devastating days.
When Posey was a 6-year-old first grader, he attended his last day at Sandy Hook Elementary School. On December 14, 2012, a mass shooting killed six adults and 20 6- and 7-year-old students.
It's the deadliest mass shooting at an elementary school in our country's history. The Posey family had pre-arranged plans to move to Colorado the following day and did.
Throughout Reichen's life here in Colorado, he's made that defining moment in life part of his story — not his entire life story.
