1 dead after crash on Interstate 70

DENVER — The Denver Police Department (DPD) is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Interstate 70 late Sunday night.

The crash closed westbound lanes of I-70 at Central Park Boulevard, DPD said in a tweet. SKY9 was over the scene as westbound lanes of I-70 reopened shortly after 6 a.m.

One driver was transported to the hospital where they later died, DPD said in an update.

DPD first tweeted about the crash at about 11:28 p.m., Sunday night.
