DIA opens 3 new restaurants on Concourse A

Three new businesses are the first to open on the Concourse A-West expansion area, near gate A20, since it opened to the public in 2022.

DENVER — Three new concessionaires are now open for hungry travelers at Denver's airport.

Elway’s Taproom & Grill, Peet's Coffee, and Tacos Tequila Whiskey are the newest businesses to open at Denver International Airport (DIA).

The new businesses are the first to open on the Concourse A-West expansion area, near gate A20, since it opened to the public in November 2022.

Elway's Taproom & Grill, owned by Broncos great John Elway and his partner Tim Schmidt, has several menu additions including an enhanced beer list and prime-cut steaks.

"We have been thrilled with the success of Elway’s Steakhouse on Concourse B and are excited to expand the brand with an Elway’s Taproom & Grill on Concourse A," Elway said. "Skyport Hospitality and JAF Concessions are strong partners that we trust to deliver on our standards of excellence."

“Today is a great symbol of the transformational power of this airport. [DIA] is a place that celebrates local brands and local legends, which is why we’re honored to open Elway’s Taproom & Grill, as well as Tacos Tequila Whiskey and Peet’s Coffee,” said Denver Mayor Mike Johnston. “Denver is really expanding its footprint on the international stage. Part of that is that we want customers who visit this airport to be reminded of what they love about Denver and to experience dining and retail that they can only find in Denver.”

The new businesses will help serve passengers at one of the busiest airports in the world. DIA was the sixth-busiest airport in the world in 2023 and the third-busiest in the U.S.

Denver's airport fell three positions from 2022 to 2023, even through last year was the airport's busiest on record. In 2023, DIA served 77,837,917 passengers, a 12.3% increase over the 69,286,461 passengers served in 2022.

DIA airport achieved its highest-ever position in 2021 and 2022 when the airport ranked as both the third-busiest airport in the United States and the world. The airport said its position in the global rankings has risen sharply in recent years due to the recovery of domestic travel demand following the pandemic and the opening of new gates.
