LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Lakewood Thursday night.
Lakewood police tweeted that the crash happened near Wadsworth Boulevard and West 23rd Avenue around 7:45 p.m.
The victim was identified Friday as 52-year-old Eric Cosby of Arvada.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed on scene, according to police. They said they don't believe alcohol or drugs were involved and no charges are expected to be filed against that driver.
Police have not given any other details about how the crash happened or said whether Cosby was in a crosswalk at the time he was hit.
Wadsworth closed in the area for several hours Thursday night during the investigation.
